Alan Field has owned and operated Alan's Roofing Inc. since 1985. He started while still attending Springstead High School in 1982 and has steadily and loyally served Hernando County and beyond ever since.
During the hurricanes of 2004, Alan's Roofing was one of the first to respond to FEMA, government housing authorities and most importantly Hernando County residents. When a shortage of materials threatened to stop work, Alan's Roofing bought it's own semi and trailer to buy materials in other states. When smaller roofing companies had to close their doors, Alan's Roofing went county to county to serve their customers, all while keeping our own residents dry and happy. Alan's Roofing is proud to be a member of the Adco Inc. family of services, providing emergency Re-Roofing for Natural Disaster Recovery Relief.
Every homeowner needs to care for his roof in the same manner they
care for their lawn. Just as you mow the lawn, pull weeds and pick
up the trash, you should have your roof cleaned, inspected and
maintained. The life expectancy of a roof is much different here in
Florida then in the northern states. While a roof in Michigan may
support a heavy snow storm in winter, the Florida sun is a force to
be reckoned with every season. A 20 year roof in Ohio may only last
15 years in Florida.
While home inspections during the sale of a home may indicate a long life for a roof, one bad storm, one downed tree, one rippling wind may change that expectancy in a night. The cost of a yearly inspection will far outweigh the unexpected roof replacement ten fold.
